LoTW download not marking log as QSL received

Hi all,
LoTW  qsl's seem to download ok be but CQRlog doesn't process  and mark log acordingly.
New QSO's are shown but still show as 'new' on each download.
This is a recent problem it seems.
Great program by the way.

Re: LoTW download not marking log as QSL received

Hi Ian,

I know about that. LoTW already changed the interface. I'll fix to next version.

same thing with eQSL

I'm not so sure it's just a LOTW thing. I am seeing the same problem when downloading from eQSL also.

I see this AFTER I upgraded to 1.8.1, and I did have to do the work-around to manually update the database version number using mysql console / command line, if that means anything.

BTW, I'm a software engineer, so if I can help, shoot me an email.

Re: same thing with eQSL

Hi Ian,

I'm back after HDD crash and it seems both LoTW and eQSL work without any problem. I just downloaded all QSO and were marked as received. Another try shows me 0 new QSO.

Re: same thing with eQSL

Hi Peter,
Glad you are back up and running after your HDD crash.
Tried again with 1.8.1 and still same issue here. Will stay with 7.4.1 for now.
Thanks for looking

more info

I reverted back to 7.4.1 and now everything is good for me, too.
I did notice some mysql errors when updating from 1.7 to 1.8, though. This makes me wonder if the database upgrade process didn't complete, and maybe that's why we're having trouble, and you're not, Peter. Is there a way we can inspect the database structure itself to make sure everything is in order?

Still issues after 'clean' start with 1.8.1

I did a clean start of CQRlog 1.8.1 today. To accomplish this, I used a mysql session to drop all the cqrlog databases, then removed ~/.config/cqrlog directory entirely (after backing up my logs to an ADI file, of course).  This caused CQRlog to create its databases fresh and for me to start with a "clean slate."  I did back up my configuration.ini file and re-import it afterwards, along with my ADI log files.

With this done, in theory eliminating any upgrade issues from the 1.7 builds, I am still having weird issues with LOTW and eQSL QSOs. LOTW is still apparently not marking QSOs confirmed (it shows the same ones "newly confirmed" every time I download). Further, eQSL is now constantly attempting to upload stuff that it's already uploaded before, and I'm getting warnings about duplicate records. Besides those, I'm not seeing any error messages at all.

Same problem here

Hi!
We are trying to solve the same problem in the thread "LoTW Confirmations not importing". KU4GU suggested that it might have something to do with the MariaDB (database) that came with an update lately. The MariaDB seems to be closely related to MySQL or even replacing it. There are plenty of posts on the internet where people are furious about MariaDB messing up MyQSL function or the other way around. Dont know if they share some files. However, I decided to uninstall MariaDB according to; http://www.installion.co.uk/ubuntu/trusty/universe/m/mariadb-server/en/u...
After that I had to re-install CQRLOG again. But it seemed like it never disappeared because the logs were still there. I did not uninstall/delete CQRLOG. I thought the My SQL would be re-installed or re-configured by CQRLOG.
When following the text masses in the terminal while installing CQRLOG there is alot of MariaDB installing and configuring stuff going on. SO it came back or took over the show again!?
Since there is alot of complaints regarding MariaDB vs MySQL that may be a trace to look up. My knowledge about computers stops at the basic function of a transistor, so I'm smoked trying to solve this...

MySQL is not installed....

Just looked in "Synaptic" whats installed after removing MariaDB and installing CQRLOG. MariaDB is installed, MySQL is not. It seems that it automatically installs MariaDB.
