Hi, EXcellent software, use it all the time BUT I have a problem in that if I leave my PC for any length of time unattended over about half an hour, when I get back the program has locked up, I cannot switch it off and I have a message telling me my 'MYSQL server has gone away'.
I normally have to switch the computer off at this point to re-start CQRLOG.
My internet access is often on and off but this shouldnt affect local SQL server.
I'm at my wits end and about to go back to a lesser program, but one I can rely on to not crash every now and again
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.
Is there timeout setting I can adjust?
Does anyone eelse get this problm?
Iain
H Iain,
CQRLOG should send evey one minute or so simple SQL query to keep mysql connection active. I've never had this problem. Today, after I come home, I'll run CQRLOG in debug mode and check the log tommorow morning. Are you connected to any dxcluster or not?

Hello,
Yes I leave the cluster connected.
There has just been another MYSQL server update for Ubuntu which may improve my installation problem.
CQRLOG asked me to run a a config script as appamor was detected all of a sudden but after runs fine.
I think you are right it is probably connected with my not too constant internet connection.

Same problem since 1.6.0 update. It never did it before.
Error executing query: MySQL server has gone away.
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Cancel to kill the program.
This happens when back to Cqrlog after being idle for some time.
Hi all,
I have the same going on here as well. When CQRlog has rub for any length of time without touching it I loose my SQL too. I get the same warning telling me it has gone away and all I can do is click OK to risk.... or cancel to quit.
Hello,
i am using CQRLOG 1.9.1 on Knoppix Linux, when I leave the Computer for some hours the following error message comes up.
: Error executing query: MySQL server has gone away.
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Cancel to kill the program.
I have a mySQL-Server on a RaspberryPi to which CQRLOG is connected.
Has anybody an idea to fix this ?
Thanks for your help !

Hi Marcus,
please run cqrlog from console and log debug messages to a file.
cqrlog --debug=1 >> debug.log
and after CQRLOG crashes, please send me the file to my email. Maybe there will be the reason why mysql closed the connection.
Did you have any cluster/rbn connected? MySQL will close inactive connections after some time.

Hi Petr,
thank you for the answer. I will test it in debugmode and send you the result.
Yes I run cqrlog with an opened DX-Cluster Window.
