CQRLOG 64-bit

Hi,

I downloaded the 64-bit version. It was installed using Ubuntu SW manager and I useUbuntu 64-bit version 10.10.
When I start the CQRLOG I see log window open and when clicking on utils I see Configuratio appearing on window. Now you can choose export or import. I select import, but it is looking for ini files only. I used previously the 32-bit version on Ubuntu 9.10 and in this version I have now adi file format for my logbook.

What do I need to do to import those old files?

Hi Jari,

you are trying to import cqrlog ini file which is configuration file. At first, you must click to Open button, it opens your log and there you can do the import.

Hi,

I suspect there is a issue either in my installation or then in program. When I click to start program I get this small window which is called Database connection, in this window I then see inside box 2 columns log nr and log name, next row 1 and log 001 respectively. Here I then click open (on left), but then I believe it opens log 001. Then last button on right is Utils and from this I can only come into Configuration and this opens options to export or import and still only ini files can be imported.
When clicking on Open Log I go to window which opens log 001 - I assume - and then selecting file, view, window or statistics and under any of these I cannot find import log (adi file). What is wrong? Should I uninstall CQRLOG and MySQL and MySQL server? Then try reinstall first MySQL server and client and only after that CQRLOG? While doing first time using SW installer in Ubuntu it did automatically install MySQL client and server.

I am puzzled. :-O

Hi Jari,

if you click to Open, New QSO window appears. Now click to File menu and choose Show QSO list window. In QSO list window is also File menu, click on it, choose Import -> ADIF.

Potentially bug in LO TW data import and in import window

hi Petr,

Now I got it how to import the ADIF. It was so different to that what I remember from the 32 bit version.

Bug/design issue number one:
When importing the window indicates done, but does not change the button "import" to "close". It says only "Done...", which made me wonder is it still doing something. I would propose to add close button inside window or some more options like import next file. Second issue was that when I imported the file I was not sure was it done so I could click second time the import button and then I had dublicates in my logbook. Took a while to delete the QSOs. Can you somehow prevent importing one file 2 times - for dummies like me ;-)

Second issue with LOTW QS_S Date:
On my screen I see teh LOTW QS_S Date: 1899-12-30. I think there is either import error or some settings not correct. this I believe is bug. When importing QSOs from my old ADIF file this is visible on QSO*s I uploaded to LOTW.

LOTW data

Hi,

This happened when I imported my log. Some QSO*s in my previous installation are not uploaded to LOTW and some are. On the ones that were uploaded to LOTW I see the date 1899-12-30.

I'll send you by mail the screenshots.
