profiles: column in "QSO list"

Is it possible to view the profile infos in the QSO List Window? I would appreciate if this was available as checkbox in the "visible columns" settings.
Thanks es 73 Martin HB9FSV

HI Martin!

Yes, that is quite easy. But I think it is not very informative if you have several qth profiles in same log. 1-4 will do, but then you have to remember what number is what profile (in names).

How ever I did a quick test. You will find source code from https://github.com/OH1KH/cqrlog/tree/show_prof_nr but I am not sure is it worth to add to official version.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Saku
Thank you, for me that's great! Of course, one could add all the info available in the dropdown menu of the "new QSO" window to the QSO list. In the shack I often change between different (QRP) rigs, so while writing QSL cards, I'd like to add rig information. My profile numbers are easy to remember (e.g. 757 for FT-757), so I easily see from the number which rig I used.
I'll clone the github version and try to build!
Add to official version or not...? Hm, not sure. I prefer not having too cluttered software. Log4OM is sometimes confusing for that reason.

Hello,

Hello,

It is a excellent idea.
Instead of displaying the number profile in a column, could it possible to display below the grid, the plain text profile like "comment to qso" or "award" fields ?

Hmmm...

Perhaps making Commant and Award a bit tighter there would be room for profile information.
But then it would be visible only if one qso from log (qso list) is seleced. Just like qso distance.

Not a bad idea, but is it commonly needed or just a wwff/sota/rda/etc activators need.

Note that showing profile number in column makes it visible also in "NewQSO/worked before"-grid and so you see, after entering a callsign, that we have had qso from my profile #X. What ever it then means.

Thanks Saku for your comment.

Thanks Saku for your comment.
It could be interesting to know what were the antenna and rig conditions when updating received QSL.
Or, to know the locator and station in case of portable traffic.
You are right about having profile number in a column. It could be a generic solution.
Also, I think there is enough free space to have profile plain text below the grid like comment for / award / qs_s / lotw (see attached picture screenshot ).

Hi!
The place you suggest is reserved for distances display. Preferences/visible columns/distance (in pnl).Requires also station locator and locator for qso to be filled.
But those lines could have tighter gaps between. Then it could hold information of profile. At least name (and what else fits to one line).
