I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.04 with CQRLog 1.0.0~beta1 and am trying to re-establish transceiver control which worked just fine with previous versions. I can get/change rig frequency using rigctl, but when I start CQRLog or Refresh TRX Control, I get the following message:
In inicializerig
Model:128
Port:/dev/ttyS0
Baudrate:38400
Databits:8
StopBits:1
Handshake:None
Parity:None
DTR:OFF
RTS:OFF
Poll:500
RIG_RESULT1: in tRig.Close
TRX control thread terminated
Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Paul,
it worked in previous version of what? CQRLOG or Ubuntu? I have no idea what can be wrong. Maybe please check if you are in dialout group.

Hi Petr,
Thanks for the reply. To answer your question: Yes. Both previous versions of Ubuntu and CQRLog. And I checked and belong to the dialout group. I'll keep looking.

Also - If it matters, fldigi works fine at reading the rig information but still no cqrlog. I do get an error about not having the file cqrlog/database/my.cnf when I start cqrlog. I removed and did a re-install, but no go.
For me, I have to use fldigi's own internal software, and not hamlib, if that matters for rig info to work. For cqrlog, I use hamlib in a local directory, and I had to make sure DTR was enabled...
