You should find Hamlib as a package from your linux brand download center.
You did not tell your linux brand, so no exact help can not be given.
How ever I highly recommend you to compile it by your self. Hamlib is available from GitHub https://github.com/Hamlib/Hamlib and there is good documentation in INSTALL file how to compile and install it.
Version there is 4.5 (6days old) while you can get even versios 3.0 from your Linux package. Old versions have less rigs supported and many unfixed bugs.
