Hello, I was wondering if anyone has the IC-705 working with CQRlog. I have it setup with Hamlib and have selected the 705, I am part of the dial out group. I am not sure what radio settings I need and how to tell what usb it’s using. I did use lsusb in terminal and can see the radio there listed as prolific ic705. Any help would be great. I am running Linus Mint XFCE 20.2

ICOM IC-705 and rig control

Maybe easiest way is to open command console and type command:
ls -l /dev/serial/by-id
For me it gives:
Now the device address can be set adding the path of "ls -l" and the answer strring from console (blue printed) together.
It will make an long name, but it can be entered in device column. It will scroll when typing.
For me it would then be:
/dev/serial/by-id/usb-Silicon_Labs_CP2102_USB_to_UART_Bridge_Controller_IC-7300_03003483-if00-port0
Why not using /dev/ttyUSB0 as this long name seems to point to it?
Reason for that is that this long name will never change. Not when you change radio to another USB socket or add more USB devices to computer. It will always be the same. That's why it is worth of using.

Thank you for the help. That command helped alot. I was looking for an /dev/ttyUSB like my Icom 7300.
Now its saying its /dev/ttyACM0 and /dev/ttyACM1. Soon as i changed it, it worked.
