<p>Hi, on import of ADIF logs (from other log software for contest), I receive multiple errors on entries:</p>
<p>Here are examples:</p>
<p>Working adif entry line: OE5JWL JN78FH OE3YLR 20230501 0514 80m SSB 59 59 OE5JWL PL PL UU N</p>

<p>Entry line which causes error (and not imported): </p>

<p> </p>
<p>Error:<br />ERROR: Wrong QSO loc: TU44LL</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Further, recognising duplicates seems not to work: 2nd import creates duplicates (ignore duplicates not selected) How to solve? Do I miss something? 73 OE5JWL</p>

ADIF import error
Hi.
Very hard ro say without seeing the original adif lines with full tags ( with all < and > ).
You can get them viewed right in forum text if you take adif records (two of them is enough: ok and error one) to text editor and replace all < with string "& l t ;" (use editors find and replace feature) leaving away commas and spaces (needed here to show those letters). Same way replace > with"& g t ;" . Then copy and paste to forum text editor.
Then forum will print them as arrow left and arrow right and adif tags become readable.

Hi!
Easier way:
Open adif file with text editor. Paint full adif qso record. Everything between two EOR tags. Then copy painted text.
Move to Forum's message writing and select "Plain text" from selector:
Then paste the adif record to Forum editor. Do this with qso record that is OK and qso record that causes error.
After done both change selector back to "Filtered HTML" and then preview and save message.
Doing that way the Forum's editor will replace all arrows to & lt; and & gt;

I changed the format to plain
Hi!
Ok. Now I can see that you are using two letter locators. <GRIDSQUARE:2>TU
When only the main locator grid (the big square) is given Cqrlog will add "44ll" to it for getting 6 char locator. The "44ll" should place the point in the middle of big grid.
Now the error message is right:
ERROR: Wrong QSO loc: TU44LL
That is because big grids are from AA to RR there does not exist big grid TU as the error says.
You have made a mistake when entering that qso in contest log
If you want to import the qso remove the <GRIDSQUARE:2>TU part from adif qso record.

About duplicates:
I made full adif export from small log. Then imported it several times back and did not get any duplicates produced:

Ok, thanks for the explainations.
Concerning the duplicates, I assumed that duplicates are recognised w/o checking the "Case of duplicates ..." box

Hi!
Yes they are, but without checking you get same question every time dupe is
found
