I've been using CQRLOG for a couple of years and never really had a problem until now. I am getting an access violation when I try to open CQRlog 2.5.2. I saw where people were recommending deleting ~/.config/cqrlog/MASTER.SCP. I am on OpenSUSE LEap 15.5, and I couldn't find a ~/.config/cqrlog directory. I did find MASTER.SCP in another directory and deleted it, and it didn't solve the problem.
I tried downloading the complete application directory and replacing the copy I had installed from my distro. When I tried running it from the new installation, I still got the access violation. I tried making sure the MASTER.SCP isn't over 100,000 lines, which it wasn't. I tried deleting MASTER.SCP and still got the access violation.
I'm not sure what to do to troubleshoot at this point. What can I do to try to resolve this and access my station log?
I have no clue which file is causing the problem, but this is how I fixed the issue on my system. I just moved my entire ~/.config/cqrlog directory to a different place on my computer. Then I ran CQRLog. It acted as though it was running for the first time, since all the config files were gone. After going through the initial setup, it worked fine. Then, if you need to, you can go through the directory that you just moved and get whatever you need (log files, etc.)
NC8R, that worked for me. Thank you. I found the ~/.config/cqrlog directory and renamed it. Then, I opened CQRLOG. I closed it, then copied the old ~/.config/cqrlog/database directory into the new ~/.config/cqrlog directory. I was then able to open my logs in CQRLOG.
Before I had the problem, I didn't make any changes to CQRLOG or apply any system updates. I probably let it apply the DXCC updates because I usually do that. I just started getting the access violation one day when I tried to open CQRLOG. Is there anything I should do to prevent this from happening again?

You should update your Cqrlog, but there is no official version available in any installation package. Source you can get from github but it needs compile.
Updating to Alpha version has update script that is almost as easy than packet install and fixes this and lot of other bugs.
If you keep current version you can disable dxcc update from preferences/program.
It is really only new MASTER.SCP that breaks things being too large in size and it is a part of dxcc update. There is no need to rename whole directory. It just gives lot of extra work, but of course clears situation.
