Hi, it's me again!
Last night I tried to upload my June qso's to LoTW but got a TQSL error message "Name not found".
I have the LoTW software on my system and checked that the home qth details was correctly inserted in usr/bin/tqsl -d -l as mentioned in the instructions. I have checked that the tqsl file is in my home repository and it looks good to me. I have been using LoTW and my signature etc fb before, but not with this logging program. I think I have followed the instructions closely. Anything spring to mind what I am doing wrong?
This looks like a error-message from tqsl.
My experience:
Check in the setting for tqsl.
The QTH much match exact the profile defined in tqsl
My setting: /usr/bin/tqsl -d -l "Uthaug" %f -x

Thanks Borge. I have just checked and my settings are good. Still get the message that it cant find the file, yet I see it there. So frustrating! Any other ideas?
Grant
Hi Grant,
when it writes this error? Could you please make a screenshot? Is your LoTW certificate valid? I see this error for the fist time.

Hi Peter, I have made more progress this time (why, I am not sure) anyway, I got to the point of uploading the signed file to Lotw, and input my password, so all seems fine till that point. Then I received this message: Fatal error: initializeLOTWDB: -709 - CONNECT: (cannot connect to server socket): General database error [initializeLOTWDB: -709 - CONNECT: (cannot connect to server socket)]
So I am making some progress. Any idea how I can go one step further?
Grant
It seems like LoTW-server is down right now.
The same error message at the web site.

Just wait until they are in service again.

Thanks Borge. Iĺl do that. Phew, at last it looks like I might be in business.
You could try it step by step to see where it fails.
First export your actual QSO's to an ADIF-file.
Then start tqsl (tqsl or /usr/bin/tqsl)
File sign-existing ADIF...
Select profile (check that the "station location name" is set")
Select ADIF-file
This should produce a xxxx.tq8-file
Then You could try it from cmd line
My example:
tqsl -d -l "Uthaug" /home/bmo/Documents/ham/LoTW/Sent-logs/LA4VGA_20110630.adi -x
It should also produce a xxxx.tq8-file
73 de Børge / LA4VGA
I get a meesage
~/.config/cqrlog/lotw/2021-11-02_19-38-45.adi: 756 QSO records were already uploaded
~/.config/cqrlog/lotw/2021-11-02_19-38-45.adi: wrote 1 records to ~/.config/cqrlog/lotw/2021-11-02_19-38-45.tq8
~/.config/cqrlog/lotw/2021-11-02_19-38-45.tq8 is ready to be emailed or uploaded.
Note: TQSL assumes that this file will be uploaded to LoTW.
Resubmitting these QSOs will cause them to be reported as already uploaded.
Final Status: Some QSOs suppressed (9)
No log is being uploaded to LOTW which I check in my account activity.
So I try uploading with TQSL ... it won't upload as it shows that all QSOs are uploaded.
I check the QSO list and the last few QSOs are not in my LOTW.
Can't find a solution here.
Thnx

It's very often that after big contests like CQ WW last week LOTW servers are very busy as many stations sending their contests logs with thousands of QSO.
My experience suggests that it is better to wait a few days after so popular contests or, if you have a large ADIF file to upload, it is better to send it directly to LOTW or ClubLog and then mark all qso as sent in CQRLog.

Hi!
That doesn't seem to be the case.
I've tested some more uploads, and CQRlog can't upload to LOTW. It then somehow blocks my LOTW account, and cannot even send with TQSL. Then I do a re-upload of existing QSOs via TQSL and it is fine.
TQSL is OK, CQRlog is not OK.

Hi Thomas!
Do you use latest cqrlog? 2.5.2(001) Preferred to compile from source because it is so far ahead of linux install packages. If not, please upgrade.
Do you use special characters in your password? Most of them should go ok with latest cqrlogs, but it is worth to check with simple password if the problem is there.

Hi,
Yes I use the latest CQRlog 2.5.2(001).
Password is OK, I even changed to simpler one with no special characters, no luck.
I've looked at the link you've provided but nothing helps here.

For some reason it started to work.
no errors when signing the log. then the UPLOAD button became active.
I changed station location name in TQSL, re-entered LoTW password in CQRlog.
