I've installed from zero Linux ( Mint 22 Wilma base: Ubuntu 24.04 noble) in my computer.
Reinstalling my ham programs all went ok, then installed CQRlog (via Software Manager, mintinstall) which was fine, but when I ran it, popped up an error related to mysql database.
Tried to reinstall it from a terminal window (sudo apt install cqrlog), ... "nothing to install because CQRlog is at it most recent version". But the error still popped up.
Then I went to CQRlog web page (and remembering something about mariadb), to see this... "Please don't forget to install MariaDB server, MariaDB client, Hamlib libraries and if LoTW support is desired, trustedqsl package and libssl-devel must be installed."
Installed Mariadb server and voilá....CQRlog runs fine.
So, my question is, shouldn´t CQRlog run fine just after Mint's Software manager installation?.

HI Guillermo!
Answer is "Yes it should, but"
But the problem is with Ubuntu (and clones) packet managers who do not fix their install packets so that MaraDB would be there instead of MySql.
That is why users must install MariaDB afterwards manually to get Cqrlog working.
This problem has been there for very long time now.
