Last August CAT would line to ttyS0, to solve this, I installed libftdi1-dbg.
At the beginning of this year, CQRlog would line to ttyS0,.
rig_open: error = rig_settings_load_all: opened /home/NAME/.config/hamlib_settings
serial_open: /dev/ttyS0
/home/NAME/.config/hamlib-settings
DEVICE=/dev/ttyUSB0
I tried to reinstall libftdi1-dbg, then I can run CQRlog.
Today I installed more, libhamlib++-dev, libhamlib++4t64, libhamlib-dev and libhamlib-doc to 135 (2025-01-12).(libhamlib-utils and libhamlib4t64 already installed)
Then runnung CQRlog, following message appeared.
Raio did not respond within timeout.
Check cables and that Radio power is ON
After that btry NewQSO/File/Redresh TRX/ROT control.
After two times click OK, runnnung CQRlog well.
Ofcourse, rig IC-7300 ON and already lined to CAT interface.
HI!
Not the hamlib, but there was some bugs in alpha(135) because I changed the rigConnect routines.
I think the most of bugs are now fixed in (135)2025-01-14. I have same IC7300 and the latest Hamlib from GitHub.
You could try with that one now.
For me it runs now ok, but if rig does not answer within 20 poll rounds then "Radio did not respond within timeout. Check cables and that Radio power is ON" will be displayed and current connection is destroyed.
Note that if you have very small poll time 20 poll times fill up very quickly. So even you cannot change the retry count 20 you can adjust it with poll time setting.
As information:
Then source (135) that is a step ahead of ready compiled versions (134) is always beta one that may have/has bugs.
I am now preparing to move the ready compiled and corresponding source to my GitHub repository 'CqrlogAlpha' that would then be as stable release.
The current branch 'loc_testing' would then be only for develop, as it originally was.
This work is under construction and when (135) is stable it would be first one to move to branch 'CqrlogAlpha' , I hope so.
