i plan on importing old call logs from other online sources.
Sometimes i go out and about /M or /P
Any pros or cons on setting up different profiles?
How does everyone else handle this?

Welcome back.
Using profiles is one change. I do not use them, but I think they are suitable for second (or several) qths you are returning. Like summer cottage etc.
Other change is to create own logs to mobile and portable operations. Just one log for mobile, other for portable. With latest versions you can change your own locator (Ctrl+L) for qsos and add a comment (qth name) to qso where you have been.
Then you can also create own eQSL/LoTW accounts for mobile and portable and sync corresponding logs to them.
But that is only my opinion.
