Playing with a Linux for for a few things. Went to install CQRLog again.
here is what I got:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
cqrlog: Depends: libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (>= 2.22.0) but it is not installable
Depends: libhamlib2 (>= 1.2.10) but it is not installable
Depends: libmariadbclient-dev but it is not installable
libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 is already the newest version (2.42.12+dfsg-4)
libhamlib-utils is already the newest version (4.6.2-1+b1).
Searching says: libmariadbclient-dev is a transitional package for MariaDB database development files. It was used in earlier versions of Debian and Ubuntu but has been replaced by libmariadb-dev and libmariadb-dev-compat in more recent releases.
I did try to install libmariadb-dev and it don't work.
So how do I get around the dependencies.

Hi,
when I run into problems like this I normally fall back to compile the program locally. It is not the easiest thing to set up a environment for compiling Cqrlog. Unfortunately I don't know if there is a description on how to do it somewhere. Maybe someone here can give you a clue?
