Greetings.
System Debian 13.6 64 bit updated to date.
All of the sudden I'm facing weird issue with cqrlog 2.5.2
Something went askew...
After I click button "Open log" first window is opened,
but when I go to File it displays menu and freezes forever.
Can not do anything more...
Waiting a while I see new pop-up message:
Access violation.
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Abort to kill the program.
But it is not possible to click any of above two buttons.
Running from console in debug mode I see:

By mistake I send cqrlog2 --debug=2 instead of cqrlog --debug=2

Quite hard to find the reason for Access violation without running debug from Lazarus GUI stepping mode.
It could be corrupted settings.
After "SELECT * FROM profiles " there are several init values read (procedure NewQSO/ClearAll)
As the "Database connection" window opens before that: can you make a new empty log ?
If that can be done, what happens if you open the new log? Does it open properly?
If that worked then you could try to export ini from the log 001.
At "Database connection" -> utils->configuration->export
Open exported file with text editor and look for corrupted lines.
ini file should be human readable with sections [inside brackets] following by name=value pairs.
If there are broken lines, or non ascii characters it is corrupted.
Save ini from log 001
If you could make new empty log that works export ini also from that.
Then at "Database connection" -> utils->configuration, log 001 selected, to import using new log's ini file.
after that try to open log 001.
does it open now?
I assume you have backups from ~/.config/cqrlog before trying anything so that you can return back to start situation.

What do you mean by that: "can you make a new empty log ?"
I can delete cqrlog001 in MariaDB database.
Next, created new one empty cqrlog001
Then cqrlog opens with message:
"TMySQL57Connection : Error executing query:
Table 'cqrlog001.cqrlog_config' doesn't exist."
Then I press button OK.
Next, message: "Access violation." pops up.
I press button OK and after a while main window opens.
But I can not do verbatim nothing because "Access violation" pops up every time.
To close program I have to kill it's process.
So, even with empty database, cqrlog is NOT usable at all.
I can empty cqrlog001 via Utils -> Clear log but that doesn't help either.

What I was trying to say is to try to create new log 002 (or what ever is the next free number).Use Database connection->button:New log
Leave the log 001 as it is and try to make another one.
Despite that Cqrlog starts a new MariaDB server using ~/.config/cqrlog/database as base folder (when "save log data to local machine" is checked in Database connect) creating this makes some settings also to MariaDB server's common database about log databases.
There is "main" MariaDB server running at port 3306 when you have installed MariaDB packages. That one holds tables information_schema, mysql and performance_schema that are holding some data also about log databases created in ~/.config/cqrlog/database using separate safemode MariaDB server there.
I have had few cases in past where the whole MariaDB installation had to be removed before Cqrlog started to work ok again.
Of course this is not necessary if one has enough wisdom to remove just log database bindings from tables information_schema, mysql and performance_schema.
I do not have.
That is why I suggested you to create a new log, meaning to use another log number than 001 because that may have some "glitches" that do not disappear even when you delete log 001.
It seems that log 001 has lost configuration table 'cqrlog001.cqrlog_config' and when log deleted and recreated this table did not appear again.
It is the one that holds all data that is prepared by Preferences.
So If you can create a working new log 002, or what ever number different than 001, you perhaps can export it's configuration to file and import the file to log 001
using way I said in last message and get the config table recreated.
If you already have several logs in Database connection window's list does any other than log 001 open properly?
If does, then try to export it's configuration to file (Utils->Configuration->export) and try to import that file to log 001 (Utils->Configuration->import)
