Wrong DXCC

I've been just comparing LOTW and CQRlog DXCC stats and found out that CQRlog recognizes GB7HQ as Guernsey-should be England and MO0FAL as England-should be Guernsey.

YT1BX - your info is not very relevant

Actually, no other logging program resolves/can resolve GB stations properly because the GB prefix is used in all UK areas on random and rather erratic basis. Our algorithm resolves GB as England by default and all others (Scotland, Wales etc.) are considered as exceptions with corresponding record in CallResolution.tbl. GB7HQ was used in many UK areas including Guernsey.

MO0FAL is Guernsey, special prefix used for Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and ONLY between 2012/07/21-2012/09/09. If you enter NOW MO0FAL the result is England which is definitely correct. Remember that Colin, MU0FAL, should use M0FAL if operating from the mainland, GM0FAL from Scotland etc.

There are many stations which can't be resolved correctly - not only GB prefixes but all R, II and some others. I am trying to keep the records as precise as possible but this is possible only if the relevant data are available (published in DX bulletins etc.). A VK9 or TX operation will be published with high probability because it is a "rare" one but we can't expect that a GB station operating from Scotland will be published with corresponding timespan.

If you have some comments/additions regarding stations operating from the "usual" countries, you can use my personal email to provide details which will be entered into country files. Otherwise (if you use an public forum etc.) your comments will be considered as unnecessary criticism.

CQRlog is the most accurate

CQRlog is the most accurate logging program out there it's only competition is DXlabs, but comparing the two. I chose CQRlog because it is simple, easy to use and does what I need it to do without to much clutter on the screen. From an operational stand point, CQRlog wins hands down... best of all it is on a far superior operating system. Thanks Martin and Peter for all the hard work.. TU GDDX Tom K8WDX
