Preference - New QSO - Refresh Data after Save QSO

Cannot see where checking this makes any difference ?

Manual refresh works ok.

Refresh Data

I notice if the log window is down and I enter the data, ctrl-o then shows the new data.

But normally, would think the operator would want the log window up all the time ? If so, it is
not refreshed except by selecting 'refresh data' icon ?

RE:Refresh Data

Hi Howie,

if this New QSO -> Refresh Data after Save QSO doesn't work, it is a bug. I'll fix it, thank you.

But there is a problem. This refresh may takes long time, especially if you have a lot of QSOs. CQRLOG solves this another way. You can have a few previous QSOs displayed in New QSO window. Go to File -> Preferences -> New QSO tab. There is "Show recent QSO records for last XX days" option. Please check it and put e.g. 10 into edit field. Then click OK, write something into call field in New QSO window, hit ESC twice (or you can restart program) and you should see previous QSOs.

I thing this is much better then showing QSO list window. Screen is full of much more important windows like band map, details window, dx cluster.

Refresh Data

Thanks Petr.

What I do is set the log to show only since 2009.
Refresh runs much better this way but it would be a big improvement to have things autorefresh on enter of data.

For PREVIOUS QSOS I do the entire log (big)-- it is very fast and shows all previous qsos.

The only downside to this approach is that I think, when export adif, need to change the log to show all qsos ?

Re: Refresh Data

Problem fixed. I'll try to fix the acces violation and if you send me email, I'll send you link with fixed version and you can try it.

If you want to export all QSOs, you must change it in Preferences to show all QSOs. This is not so comfortable and I'll try to improve it.
