Failed upload to LoTW

Hello,
Using CQRlog version 1.7.4 . Uploads to LoTW had been working prior to lastest ARRL hack. Tried to upload 22 QSO's today and got "file refused" error. on export to LoTW. Tried saving to .adi file, signing it and uploading tq8 file using TQSL. That worked perfectly. Reentered my LoTW password. No change. Certificate appears to loaded OK. Any suggestions?

Same problem here.  I checked for an update and it said version V2.8.65536 was available.  I clicked OK but no luck.  Said it loaded but I still can't upload to LOTW.

Failed to upload to LoTW

Yesterday I tried several times to upload to LoTW from CQRLog. I used TQSL to upload the .adi file once. This morning I checked my activity (under my account) and found that there were multiple uploads spaced a few minutes apart. Most had a date attached and one did not. Result indicated duplicate QSO's had been replaced.
Based on this observation I believe each upload from CQRLog was received and processed. I do not know why the error message appeared. Perhaps another glitch in LoTW. BTW the additional TQ8 file was also processed.
Suggest those who have expirienced the same problem check their activity and post the results. If others find my observation to be true the problem is with LoTW not CQRLog.

I checked my activity and

I checked my activity and like N3MOW I show successful uploads spaced to coincide with my appempts last night.  It appears that the QSO's were uploade though my log is not showing that.

LOTW FILE UPLOAD ERROR

NOT SHOUTING, JUST AN EYE THING.

THE LOTW RESPONSE IS THAT THE FILE IS REJECTED.  IT ACTUALLY UPLOADS THE FILE BUT THEN CQRLOG DOES NOT SEEM TO KNOW THE QSOS WERE UPLOADED.  THE NEXT UPLOAD WILL CONTAIN DUPES. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT LOTW BY PHONE TO SEE IF ANY HELP IS COMING FROM THEM.   IF THEY WOULD NOT SEND A WHOLE PAGE OF HTML ABOUT COOKIES WOULD HELP ALSO.

HAS ANYONE NOTICED WHEN LOTW HAS A PROBLEM, CQRLOG HAS A TOUGH TIME FOR A WHILE?   NOT SURE WHY OR HOW IT GETS FIXED BUT HERE WE GO AGAIN.

RE: Failed upload to LoTW

Hello all,

Thanks Petr. I'll try again when I get some new QSO's. Probably this weekend. By the way the guys on the ARRL yahoo group say this message is not comming from LoTW but CQRLog. What do you think? Will keep you informed.

Re: Failed LoTW upload

Uploaded three batches of QSO's. No problems. Worked each time. I do not think this was a CQRLog issue. Posted my observations on LoTW yahoo group. They believe it to be an issue with CQRLog.

LOTW WORKING FINE NOW

LOTW WAS SPITTING BACK HTML ABOUT COOKIES BUT IT IS CQRLOG ISSUE.  I DONT THINK SO.  I CALLED ARRL MANY TIMES AND WAS GIVEN A NAME DAN WALL EXT 314 TO CONTACT.  LEFT VOICEMAILS AND SEND EMAILS BUT NO RESPONSE BACK TO ME.  OH WELL THE MAIN THING IS IT WORKS NOW.  I HOPE IT DOESNT DO THIS AGAIN SOON AS HAS BEEN THE CASE IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS.

Lotw upload fails

Petr,
A question. What site does CQRLog version 1.7.4 upload the qso data to? Is it https://p1k.arrl.org/lotwuser/default? They changed it a while back to https://lotw.arrl.org/lotw/upload and the dowload to https://lotw.arrl.org/lotwreport.adi?login=. The reason I ask is that Ham Radio Deluxe V 5.24 users also expirienced failed uploads. HRD uses the //p1k.arrl.org/lotwuser/default URL for its uploads. In HRD to upload URL can be changed. To make this work without modifying HRD settings arrl provided a re-direction to the proper site. Both CQRLog and HRD resolved themselves with no intervention. HRD 5.24 is no loger supported but, for some of us it is all we need.  Under Wine it will run in Linux.

Re: Lotw upload fails

Hi Marty,
after 1.7.4 release ARRL changed LoTW upload address and also things aroud user log in procedure. Recent CQRLOG version uses this address:
UPLOAD_URL = 'https://LoTW.arrl.org/lotwuser/upload?login=%s&password=%s';

I don't know why ARRL keep changing the inteface.

LoTW Upload fails

Petr,
Thanks for the response. I thought that was what happened. So version 1.7.4 and previous use the "old" login and may fail to upload. This has been changed in 1.8.2 so that the upload will work properly. Unfortunatly I'm running Ubuntu 12.04LTS on my station PC. On my laptop I have Ubuntu 14.04. That PC has updated to CQRLog 1.8.2. will v 1.8.2 run in 12.04 or must it see 14.04?

Re: LoTW Upload fails

Hi Marty,

you can use binaries of cqrlog also in Ubuntu 12.04. It should work without any problem. I'm sorry for late reply, this forum is not so user friendly when it has many posts. I overlooked your question but I'm not sure if I alredy sent reply via email or your question was similar to other :(.

Re: LoTW Upload fails

Petr,
Thanks for your response. I am not sure about the binaries. Would you be a little more specific since I'm new to Linux. Are you saying to download the source and compile it myself? If so how do I do it? Right now I have the PPA loaded on 12.04 but it does not upgrade 1.7.4 to 1.8.2 automaticaly. Can I force it to upgrade 1.8.2? Must I install 1.8.2 specificaly?

LOTW HAD TROUBLE SUNDAY EVENING AND GOT IT FIXED TODAY

MY UPLOADS LAST NIGHT FAILED WITH THREE METHODS.  I UPLOADED THIS MORNINGS QSOS WITH CQRLOG AND CONFIRMED THEY ARE INTO LOTW NOW.  ARRL NEEDS BETTER EQUIPMENT TO HANDLE MASSIVE LOGS FROM CONTESTERS.  THE BIG SSB CONTEST THIS WEEKEND IS LIKELY THE REASON IT CHOKED.

LOTW Uploda troubles

Benny,
Thanks for the information. Rick and Dave, who I think wrote TQSL, insist that the problem with CQRLog and the issue with HRD are due to using the old //p1k.arrl.org URL. ARRL claims that there is no prblem with LoTW. To refute that I need to know, from Petr, what site CQRLog uses to upload file to LoTW.

ITS LOTW NOT CQRLOG

MARTY
I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE UPLOAD URL USED BUT WHEN I FOUND LOTW NOT WORKING,  I COULD NOT UPLOAD A TQ8 FILE TO LOTW USING THE UPLOAD FEATURE OF THE LOTW WEBSITE MANUALLY.  I DONT SEE HOW THIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH WHATEVER URL OR LINK CQRLOG MAY BE USING.
MAYBE THERE IS A BETTER LINK FOR CQRLOG TO USE BUT THE PROBLEM ALSO EXISTED INDEPEDENT OF CQRLOG.  MAYBE THERE ARE MULTIPLE ISSUES?  LOTW HELPDESK AND DAN WALL AT ARRL HAVE IGNORED VOICEMAILS AND EMAILS ABOUT THIS FAILURE AND THE PREVIOUS FAILURE.  AT LEAST YOU HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH SOMEONE.  GOOD LUCK.  HOW ABOUT ASKING HOW DOES CQRLOG LINK CAUSE THE LOTW WEBSITE MANUAL TQ8 UPLOAD TO FAIL?  WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT EXCUSE IS OFFERED FOR THAT QUESTION?

Maybe the ARRL people should

Maybe the ARRL people should head over to the EQSL people to see how it is done. They should take some notes...Tom
