I'm planning to start using LoTW (haven't been using it before). Can someone please help me - how do I install TSQL in a correct way on my Xubuntu laptop (I guess it is done the same way as when using Ubuntu)?
Thanks a zillion in advance!

Hi Pontus,
yes, it is very simple, like in Ubuntu and all its clones. Go to Synaptic and look/search for 'trustedqsl'. That's all. You have to follow strictly the instructions published at https://lotw.arrl.org/lotw-help/getting-started/. Your request must be done from the TQSL software. A .tq5 file will be generated, should be sent to ARRL. They will navigate you how to confirm your identity (a photocopy of you license or so). Obtain the Callsign Certificate and LoTW Account Password. You should do all the job from the same machine, once you get your certificate you should convert it to the .p12 file which can be transferred to any machine. Read this: https://lotw.arrl.org/lotw-help/certreq/ for more info. Also, don't hesitate to write me directly to my email.
BTW the correct abbreviation is TQSL, not TSQL. This was possibly the problem preventing you from the software installation.

Hi Martin,
Again - thanks a zillion for fast and adequate reply. Using the default program manager in Xubuntu, called Software, and searching for TQSL made it very easy to install the software :-)
