I've read many post on how to get the IC706MKIIG working with CQRLOG, but I havent been able to make my laptop work with my radio.
I already read " https://www.cqrlog.com/node/1750 " And tried everything, here is my debug error:

Are you sure your tty port is USB0 ?

Are you member of dialout group?
Starting RigCtld ...
/usr/bin/rigctld -m 311 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -t 4532 -s 19200
rig_open: error = IO error
Open a terminal, and enter this command:
groups
it should write a list of groups you are member of.

you can try
sudo chmod a+rw /dev/ttyS0
