After testing all of the linux logging programs I finally found CQRLOG and it is by far the best. So thank you!
(running Fedora 10 w/ binary install of cqrlog)
I started entering the QSO's from my paper log into CQRLOG last night and wanted to try the LoTW functions. I was able to export and sign successfully but when I click on the Upload button nothing seems to happen. In the status box I get:
-----
Uploading file ...
Size:
Error: 0
-----
And it just stays like that. (I know it successfully signs the file because I was able to grab the .tq8 file and upload it manually to LoTW) After I manually uploaded it and saw that I got some QSL's I thought I would try the import part but when I click on the "Download Date from ARRL website" all I get is
-----
NOT logged
Error: 0
-----
I have checked (and rechecked) my username/password in the CQRLOG preferences but not sure what I am missing.
Any thoughts on what I can try (or what I need to do to troubleshoot it more)?
Thanks,
Brian
Hi Brian,
do you have openssl 32bit libraries installed?

Yes.(from yum):
openssl.i686 0.9.8g-12.fc10 installed
Hi Brian,
I'm downloading Fedora 10. I'll install it tomorrow. I hope, I'll find out what is wrong.

Aint funny but I have exactly the same problem on Ubunu 8.04.
cqrlog correctly singed file but was unable to export/import data.
I got cqrlog signed file and uploaded over arrl.org website and it worked fine.
I doubt if this is Linux distribution related information.
Try making sure you have all of the packages suggested above (especially openssl-devel). My upload/download did not start working until I removed openssl-devel and reinstalled it. For what it is worth.. when I reinstalled the openssl-devel package (via yum) it also installed these packages for dependency reasons:
device-mapper-devel-1.02.27-7.fc10.i386
e2fsprogs-devel-1.41.3-2.fc10.i386
libsepol-devel-2.0.33-1.fc10.i386
libselinux-devel-2.0.73-1.fc10.i386
krb5-devel-1.6.3-16.fc10.i386
So maybe it was an issue with openssl-devel or maybe I was missing another dependency, but upload & download are now working (and I can see the confirmed LoTW QSL's in the qso list)
Please install libssl-dev and it should work.

Hi Brian,
are you using proxy server?

Not using a proxy server. (tried it both at home and at work)
Also just for testing reason I installed it on another F10 box (my work desktop) and tried to import from LoTW and got the same message (NOT Logged Error:0) (did not try to upload.. do not have tqsl installed on that computer)
I'm playing with Fedora for few hours. I've installed this:
yum install compat-libstdc++-33.i386
yum install hamlib
yum install trustedqsl
yum install openssl.i686
yum install openssl-devel.i386
yum install libcurl.i386
yum install crypto-utils.i386
yum install mod_ssl.i386
yum install tcltls.i386
yum install gnutls.i386
yum install gnutls-utils.i386
Could you tr to install it? I'm behind proxy server, now. I hope this evening I'll try it from home without proxy. Please let me know it it helps or not. Thank you.

yum install crypto-utils.i386
yum install mod_ssl.i386
yum install tcltls.i386
yum install gnutls.i386
yum install gnutls-utils.i386
but still have the same issue

Hi Brian,
LoTW download works. Could you install openssl-devel.i386? Maybe it helps.
Do you have jabber account? If this won't help, I can send you debug version to get more information why it doesn't work.

I removed and reinstalled the openssl-devel package and that seemes to have fixed it. Maybe I just had something hanging out there from a previous fedora release. (which would explain why it did not work on my other f10 computer.. it has been upgraded from an earlier fedora releases as well)
Thanks for all your help and the great logging program!

Hi Brian,
I'm very happy that LoTW works. Please try also LoTW upload and please let me know if it works.
