up to version 2.1.0 everything worked fine. Since version 2.2.0 I always get a "crash" if I use the "page down" key to
"jump" to the last 1000 QSOs (2nd page). A little empty window appears in the middle of the screen and I can't do
anything except "killing" cqrlog.
If someone has an idea...

Exactly the same here. Using 2.3.0 in Debian 9.4 Stretch.

Once tried to clear what makes this, but the code at that part is so complex to follow that I did give up.
There seems to be something Lazarus (gtk?) specific "properties" that makes it a mess, if I remember right.
Filtering helps a bit if you are looking for something.

I tested a littlebit. Clicking 1 to "n" times on the "X" (top right) of the empty little window let it close and CQRLOG works
again. So I think the little window should show an "error message".
I am using the version of the "Complete application directory for other distributions"

I see the same thing here on Kubuntu 18.10 When it first happens, several clicks on the X of the little window with no message solves the problem. If I continue to press page down after the little window closes from clicking on the X several times, the same thing happens. It takes MANY more clicks on the X to close the little window then. I didn't try it past the second time the little window popped up.

Splash should show the normal "Abort" "OK" selection.
Do a mouse click at place (bottom right) does the same. Click of hidden OK many times may release the situation.
Clicking a little bit more to left will stop the program (place of hidden abort button).
Pressing X or hidden OK just goes over one log line, or buffered keystroke (pgdn/pgup) and when all are cleared scrolling continues. Not a solution, just skipping the problem(s).
