New QSO Window shows no MODE field in list of recent qsos

In the previous QSO list appearing at the top of the logging screen is no MODE field.
I have checked the box in Preferences/Visible columns, but the screen shows no MODE field. Can switch on and off other columns, but no effect on MODE.

I'm using Ver. 2.3.0(101)

Did I miss any checkbox in preferences?

Thanks for your ideas.

Hi!

Did you try to adjust the width of columns?
Place mouse cursor over column label border line an keep left button pressed. Double arrow cursor will appear.
Move mouse to left making column narrower. (drag the border with mouse)

Note that some columns are very wide by default. Move horizontal slider below columns with mouse to rightmost position.
Drag same way the rightmost border there to left direction.
Nothing seems to happen, but if you look the horizontal slider while dragging border you see that it moves. Just keep on dragging and finally you have all columns visible (narrow enough).

Hi Saku,

the problem is not the width of the columns, as you can see on attached picture.

Hi !

Hi !

Have you tried to create a new log. Does it have same problem?

If so, make a new linux user and try cqrlog with that user account .
Or, maybe easier way, you can move (rename) folder ~/.config/cqrlog to ~/.config/cqrlog-save and then start cqrlog. It sees that you have not used cqrlog before and starts all from beginning. Does the log work then?

After test remove ~/.config/cqrlog and copy (or rename) ~/.config/cqrlog-save back to ~/.config/cqrlog to get your old logs and settings back.

If test works you can do adif export/import to move you logs to working system.

I did not notice that (see picture).

Hi Saku,

thank you for quick response.

I created a new log and the problem was gone. Then I imported ADIF from old log and everything works.
But: Is there a chance to transfer all my settings from old to new log? I don't want to start the settings from scratch - if I can avoid.

To import the .ini file from old log brings back the problem. But if I compare the section [columns] from the old an new log, there is no difference.

If there is no solution, I have to accept and start from scratch.

Hi Saku,

There is no more problem.

I exported the configuration file and opened it in editor. There I found out, that in the section [frmNewQSO_dbgrdQSOBefore] some lines were missing. One of the missing lines was the "mode=xxx". I filled in this line, saved the file and imported it via the Utils/Import. And now everything is okay and I'm happy again.

Thank you for answering my questions and thanks a lot for your engagement for this great logging software.
