CQRLog Beta 20181203

Hi,

I tried the beta version yesterday. My monitor has a resolution of 1280x1024.

The window "New QSO" consists of a lower part and an upper part where you can see some of the last QSOs.

In the beta version the lower part, which cannot be changed, has obviously been changed in height so that I can no longer use the upper part with the last QSOs.

Is it possible to reduce the height of the lower, fixed part of the window again? Maybe you can reduce the total size of the elements, arrange them differently, or make the part window scalable.

Question: How can I attach a picture here?

Hi Wolfgang!

I you resize whole window vertically upper part (the qso list) will get larger.

I have just done anchoring job for newqso window and it was quite big job to make all fields and lables so that they do not clip each other.
So only reasonable way is to keep qso list scalable and lock everything else.
At shrink side DXCC info will cut qso fields when moved horizontally.

Hi, Saku,

Hi, Saku,

thank you for your feedback.

Unfortunately the number of pixels in height is limited on many screens. Also the screen width is not arbitrary e.g. with laptops.

By dragging the upper part of the NweQSO window higher, other windows don't fit above it anymore. The TRX control window can also not be scaled in height, otherwise the buttons disappear.

Above the NewQSO window you can only arrange windows that have a flat structure.

All in all, the new design restricts the usability considerably. Maybe you should pay more attention to the display possibilities with usual monitor resolutions. Unfortunately the development is going in a different direction. The arrangement of the windows becomes less flexible.

It would certainly also be possible to move parts of the NewQSO window to a separate window for elements that are used less.

I'm looking forward to hearing from other users when the version is released.
