Another newbie question. What do the dots on the grayline stand for? I understand that the yellow line is the path between me and the staion I am working. I guess the white and red dots are spots of me and DX spots but I don't know for sure.

Hi Bill,
the dots in grayline widow are from Reverse Beacon network. It's described here:
http://www.cqrlog.com/help/h1.html#ch6
When you are calling CQ, your signal is received by RBNs all over the world. Info is spotted to something like dx cluster and CQRLOG shows data in the grayline.
