How to delete the first log?

Hi Petr,

i have exportet my first log to ADIF, and there reorganized the QTH profiles with an editor. Then i imported the ADIF file in a new log, so that i now get two logs in the selection menu.

Now, if I want to delete the first Log, the message  "You can not delete the first log!" appears.

How can I now delete the first log (old), and replace it with the second log (new)?

Re: How to delete the first log?

Hi Wolfgang,

the first log cannot be deleted. If you know SQL, you can do that but it's not easy and many things can get wrong. The only solution is clear the first log (in connection window click to Utils button and choose Clear log), export the QSO as ADIF file, import it to the first log and delete the second log.

Please make sure you have a good backup, you can loose all QSO.

Hi Petr,

Hi Petr,

Thanks for the instructions. It worked perfectly. This way, simplifying the QTH profile, is working.
In some cases, it might be cheaper to realize the configuration in plain text files (Linux/Unix like). This makes it easier, in my opinion, the configuration of software often.

Re: Hi Petr,

Hi Wolfgang,

you can export configuration to a text file, change what you need and import it back. CQRLOG now has over 300 configuration items, it's much easier to use GUI than do that in a text file.

Hi Petr,

Hi Petr,
thanks for the hint. This possibility behind the "Utils button" I had not seen before. Sorry :)
This solution is of course better than my suggestion.

Re: Hi Petr,

No problem at all :).

CQRLOG has so many options, it slows down whole app a bit. Also working in threads is a problem. I looked at source code and Pereferences has almost 500 items stored into configuration. And there are more options outside Prefereces window. We started with maybe 50 or less - 8 years a go :).

importing config file does

importing config file does not work. I've imported ADIF file into the first log, but when I go into preferences, it is all unconfigured.

Re: importing config file does

Tomasz, ADIF doesn't contain configuration. You have to export it from cqrlog in Database connection window.

Yes I know. That's what I'm

Yes I know. That's what I'm doing. Then I do import the settings into the first LOG but nothing gets imported.
