Save the database on Dropbox (or G-drive and similar) to use on different computers

I use these remote drives for almost anything in my daily life and carry the most used info from a computer to another through Dropbox. I believe many other HAM are doing the same.
Would be nice if We could save the database online on a remote drive like Dropbox, G-Drive or similar, not necessarily at the same time... as if I am portable my computer in the shack will be likely OFF.

So my wish is under the Xmas tree :)

This could be possible with current version. You have to create a symlink from Dropbox to ~/.config/cqrlog. Make the backup, first. I'm not sure it it will work without changing apparmor configuration in Ubuntu, but it's easy, you can look at my script that is run after deb install - https://github.com/ok2cqr/cqrlog/blob/master/tools/cqrlog-apparmor-fix. Much better is have dedicated server with MySQL database and connect to it from both machines.

I use OwnCloud with my server to backup log data but I use autobackup implemented into CQRLOG, it exports all QSO to ADIF, compress it with ta.gz and save it to configurable location.

Hi HB9GKC,
You can do it using File -> Preferences -> Exit and backup options from New QSO window. Tick Enable autobackups after program ends. There is a two fields to input 2 different paths to your backup file. One of these directories can be one which is synchronised to your Dropbox. In my case it's looking like:
/home/slaveckm/Dropbox/ei2idb
