Upload to qrz.com

Hi guys,

I have spent some time and implemented a function to upload QSO data to qrz.com logbook (similar to hamQTH, hrdlog, etc.).
This can basically upload to qrz.com. The thing is it cannot delete/update QSOs because that requires an individual log ID that you get when you upload the QSO data to qrz.com.
I am thinking about storing that ID into CQRlog's database in order to be able to delete(or update aka. delete and re-enter) the QSO from the qrz.com logbook later. What do the developers think about this?

My changes (no doc yet) are here:

Any feedback welcome.

Re: Upload to qrz.com

Hi Florian,

I'm sorry, but I don't want to have this feature in CQRLOG. I don't want to support the server in any way. Some time ago, I got some very rude emails from qrz com owner and I decided to ignore all what they do and doesn't support any other service except callbook search that was already in CQRLOG. That is the reason why I ignored all request to this feature in CQRLOG. I'm sorry.

Hi Petr,

Hi Petr,

I totally see your point. Sad news but at least it helped me understanding how CQRlog works :)

There's a workaround

I wish CQRLOG supported QRZ as well; I'm enjoying moving all my digital modes and logging work to a Raspberry Pi 4, and CQRLOG seems to be the logger to use. (Thanks, Petr!)

It's clear that support for QRZ won't be in CQRLOG.

I'll leave this for anyone else wanting QRZ support: Upload to LoTW and then set up QRZ to download your QSOs from LoTW automatically. If you need help with that, search on YouTube; there's at least one video.

Today I learned about other online logbooks and I'll sign up for HamQTH and HRDLOG as well.

So what would it take? QRZ support, that is.

Howdy,

So, I'm curious ... what would it take? An apology email? I only ask because holding grudges doesn't seem to be in the spirit of Amateur Radio, and clearly this is a feature many of your users would enjoy. So is it about you or them? How do we move past it?

Thanks!
