Hello,
I have two problems with the TRX Control of both IC-775 and FT-857.
1.
When in the main window the option Mode: [ ] AUTO is not marked and I doubleclick on spots within the Bandmap or the Cluster the TRX (Icom or Yaesu) changes the band, but not the mode. This does not work from CW to SSB and vice versa. Nothing special could be observed in the console if CQRLOG was started from there.
2.
When in the main window the option Mode: [x] AUTO is marked and I doubleclick on spots within
the Bandmap or the Cluster the TRX (Icom or Yaesu) does not change band and/or mode. In the console appears "This is an invalid mode:USB". Example:
TelDbClick*****
Spot:HA0DX: 21019.0 FG8AR 1825Z
Freq:21019.0
Call:FG8AR
***************
dsBands.RecorfdCount: 1
This is an invalid mode:CW
TelDbClick*****
Spot:HA0DX: 21019.0 FG8AR 1825Z
Freq:21019.0
Call:FG8AR
***************
Console in debug mode shows:
SELECT FIRST(1) * FROM exceptions WHERE exp ='DK1MM'
SELECT * FROM cqrlog_main WHERE call = 'P4/DK1MM' ORDER BY qsodate,time_on
This is an invalid mode:USB
Removing Rig control thread from memory
Afterwards the TRX does not work at all and an error message appears if TRX Control --> Refresh is selected (Access violation, OK to ignore, Cancel to kill).
Because this happens with Icom and Yaesu I don't think it's related to the TRX. Any ideas?!

Hi Ulf,
AUTO option:
This is from help:
Another thing to be observed is the AUTO mode option - a checkbox just above the Mode field. If checked, the mode is taken from the radio. If unchecked, choose any mode from the pulldown menu displayed when clicking the button on the right side of the Mode field. This is useful for the digital data modes.
"This is an invalid mode:USB"
This could be problem with filter bandwidth settings. Go to Preferences, choose Modes tab and try to change bandwidth for SSB and CW filters to 0. This could help.

QSL. Now everything works fine. I wasn't aware of the band width settings and its effect on TRX control.
Tnx & 73
