EXTRA COMMANDS -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -m 378

THE ICOM 7610 SETTINGS ARE IN TWO SCREEN CAPTURE PHOTOS AND I CAN NOT PASTE THEM ON THIS PAGE. I CAN EMAIL THEM IF CONTACTED AT K5KV@ARRL.NET.

Hi Benny

Hi Benny
What version of cqrlog and hamlib you have? Seems that Hamlib anyway
is older. Versions from 4.x rig numbering is different. 7610 in 4.1 is 3078.
So doubt, you don't have latest there.

And latest stable Hamlib

And latest stable Hamlib version is now 4.2.

HI Benny !

Nice to hear that you have got your new icom working and that you like to share your knowledge here.

How ever, as Jarmo says, you do not have latest Hamlib as around version 4.0 they changed rig type numbers to have four digits. That is the best way currently for fast check that Hamlib is (near) the latest version.

It is same with all packages. Do not rely that your linux distribution offers the latest software via package install. They often are at least one version behind. Sometimes more.

Other thing that you could check is to clean up EXTRA COMMANDS. You should not need to put rig device and model to that part of setup. It is intended to "unusual" commands.
Like for special PTT device using different port than rig cat. For example I have home made interface for my old IC706 that has transistor for driving PTT. It is connected to second serial port's RTS line. Extra commands then have "-p /dev/ttyUSB1 -P RTS"
Try to clear up your Extra commands and report does it still work. It should.

Adding image to message is easy. Above the" CAPTCHA (I am not robot checkbox) there is button "Choose file" Press that and find your screenshot. Then press button "Upload" besides that. Your screenshot image name must end ".jpg" or ".png" to be accepted.
After "Upload" finishes check that appearing checkbox "Include file in display" is checked (it should be as default).
When you save your message the image is added to message (like in this reply)

CQRLOG AND ICOM 7610 WORKING

MY CQRLOG VERSION IS 2.5.2. I AM NOT SURE ABOUT HAMLIB VERSION.
I HAD AN EXTRA / IN THE DEVICE STRING BUT IT IS /dev/ttyUSB0 IN THE EXTRA COMMAND WINDOW AND THAT MADE IT WORK! I EDITED THE POST TO CORRECT THAT. I DID NOT SEE THE ABILITY TO POST A FILE AND DID NOT CHECK A CAPTCHA ROBOT BOX ON MY ORIGINAL POST.
THE MAIN SCREENSHOT OF THE 7610 IS ATTACHED. I WILL DO A SECOND POST WITH THE SECOND SCREENSHOT.

You can check hamlib version

You can check hamlib version by opening
konsole and type rigctl -V.

Mine shows
rigctl -V
rigctl Hamlib 4.3~git Sat May 22 03:22:36 2021 +0000 SHA=54e3ef

HI Benny!

Yes!
Confirm that ALL icoms should have CI-V TRANCEIVE (in old rig menus also appear as "CI-V TRN") as OFF. That is a requirement of Hamlib Rigctld
.

But in my IC7300 I have "CI-V USB Echo Back OFF" and "CI-V USB Port Link to [Remote]" with those it works too.
