Running latest git (loc_testing) - the new DXCC&grid background makes them unreadable if you are using a dark theme - the light letters on the light background don't have any contrast. The code needs to either change the font color or just modify slightly the original background(XOR 0x101010???), not set it absolutely.

HI!
Do you use the very latest version? (2024-04-22)
In first version I used darker yellow and green, but then changed them lighter. The idea was that lighter colors would be more closer to white background and so would be better with dark mode.
I have no proper setup to test dark mode, so all this is just guessing.
With "normal" mode coloring has showed up to be very useful. I can try xoring but having just grayed view of band and mode does not sound very attractive idea (for "normal" use, at least)

Hi!
XORing is bad idea. It does not work for light mode that should have different hex for xoring.
I have now tried to dig out first is the background light or dark and then decide how to change colors.
please try version dated 2024-04-26 and tell what you think.
You can also suggest other colors to dark mode as I have no way to see the result here. I do not like to mess up my computer and did not succeed with setting of dark theme for virtual Fedora39/lxde.
You will find colors setting from src/fNewQSO.pas line 6240.
Note that colors in hex are BGR format.(nor RGB as in HTML)
This change is made also in contest/common status grid.

That worked - thanks for the quick fix. Much more readable.
File:
OK! NIce.
And now it is also usable with light background
Thanks for reporting and testing!

Hi!
Would you please test what happens if you check "green bar paper" from preferences/fonts.
Is the DXCC grid background redable then?
It showed up that in normal mode checking "green bar paper" makes band column where rig stays unreadable.
I have fixed this, but can not produce dark view from my systems to check the dark mode action.

Tried latest loc_testing and setting 'green bar paper' looks like this
File:
HI !
Thanks!
Yep "green bar paper" does not fit at all to dark mode. But it has always been that kind.
But if you put call to NewQSO you see the current band+mode highlighting. Just the one was what we fixed with dark mode (without green bar paper).
It seems to be visible now anyhow, and that was what I was looking for. I was able to put old 386 Mint to dark mode and compile the latest source with that.
So I have seen it now here.
I think nobody uses "green bar paper" with dark mode, so it seems to be that band+mode highlighting is good as it is now.
Thanks for your help!
