How to re-size "Preferences" window for 1024x600 screen?

Hi,
I try to run CQRLOG 1.5.2 under Ubuntu 12.04LTS in a netbook with 1024x600 display resolution and Unity desktop.
"Preferences" window is too high to fit the screen. Buttons on the bottom of the window (OK, Help, Cancel) don't fit on the screen, which make it difficult to save the settings and exit Preferences.
Is there any way to reduce the window height? Is the size of the window defined in any config file or is it deeper in the code?
All the other windows are either small enough to fit or they are scalable, only "Preferences" window causes problems.

Hi Pekka,

the Preferences window is also resiseable as other windows. So you can resize the window as you wish.

Hi Petr,

Hi Petr,
thank you for your advice. I tried it with my standard laptop Compaq nx8820 and it worked fine. Then I tried it again with my small screen netbook Compaq Mini CQ 10 and it didn't work. When I try to find the edge or the corner of the Preferences window, the arrow doesn't change when hitting the edge of the window, so I can't grab the edge and resize the window. All other windows worked normally on both laptops.
This might be a display adapter issue, but it seems quite weird, that all other windows work normally on both and only Preferences window doesn't.
Compaq nx8220 has an Intel Celeron M processor @ 1.40GHz and an ATI Radeon Mobility X600 graphics controller.
Compaq Mini CQ10 (with this problem) has an Intel Atom CPU N270 @ 1.60GHz and an Intel Mobile 945GSC Express integrated graphics controller.
Both laptops are running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and they are continuously kept updated.
This is a minor but annoying feature. I will learn to live with this somehow.
