For your info, im using a serial to usb converter. it works great with N1MM software on Windows, but i cant manage to work it on linux with CQRlog. i tried cwdaemon but it failed. any idea ?

This is related more to cwdaemon itself.
After you put the usb/serial converter to USB, what happened? Linux should create device for it in /dev and probably /dev/ttyUSB0. Did it happen? We need more info.
