I just added your sugestion about creating the same filename to my TODO list. But probably I won't add function to upload a file to FTP. You can upload your file to FTP with your small sript and wput (wget - download, wput - upload). I'm using it every day. Maybe I could post here my scripts which I use for backuping my log.
I run a cron job and delete based on the date of the file - and I like seeing the incremental differences as I go along, so if you do change, make an option opposed to changing outright! :)
I'm using DropBox together with CQRlog's automatic log export for this. As your DropBox account is visible as a regular drive in file manaher in yoir local computer, you can use it as an export destination. By this feature log is always exported to dop box when I exit the cqrlog. Easy as 123 and free :-)
