Instead of using the rig # for the K3 which is 229 as that post stated to use the rig # of 221 for the K2.
When I click on a spot the call and freq is put into the qso window but still the K3 will not go to that freq.
So still working on that. I may have to change the rig# in rigctl but don't know how to do that at this time.
John, model # 229 is correct for the K3. While some of the basics are the same between the K2 and K3, the K3 backend supports the continuously variable bandwidth of the K3 which the K2 does not support, for example.
In CQRlog, the Port settings window should be set as follows:
Serial speed to the default rate of 38400 bps of the K3
Stop bits 2
Data bits 8
Handshake None
Parity None
DTR and RTS not selected
As the K3 takes some time to process commands, I set the Poll rate in the TRX control preferences screen to 1500 which is more than fast enough, IMO.
