I used CQRLog during CQWW. I had to restart the software a number of times (maybe four or five times a day?) due to it becomming sluggish over time. This is only a guess, but I was replying to CQ calls, so there were LOTS of times where I would have entered a call only to see it was a duplicate, so it's possible the problem may lie in the database search?
One other thing I did notice was Hangouts in Google+ refuse to work when CQRLog is running (Google Talk plugin seems to run slowly then refuses to join a hangout). If I quit CQRLog the hangout works as expected.
Using Ubuntu 12:04 and 3Gb RAM. FT-897, 9600 baud over a Prolific USB serial interface and MAX232.

Becomes sluggish during heavy use. Also Hangouts refuse to work :( :( :(
This is strange. I've never had this problem. Do you remember the error message? Terminal output would help a lot ... .

I have not had this problem either under heavy use, just simply works 100% no slow downs here.. Tom K8WDX
BTW you might want to disable auto look ups on contests, because if anything is going to slow down it will be your browser on look ups, Then, after contest, filter log for those qso's and update database and CQRlog will insert all this data, The only slow down I have ever had was with look ups sometime, this is an issue with your browser or the online server, not the program.. JMHO :) GDDX!!
