This is a bug in new release. There is a easy woraround for it. Go to preferences -> CW interface and choose CW daemon as keying device. It will help.
I'm working on bugfix version. I'm sorry for inconvenience.

When I click a line from the DX-cluster it put it in the new-qso screen.
But when you hit ESC in the new-qso screen it crashes with an Access-Violation.
Running 1.8.0 and Mint 17
