Hello,
I installed CQRLOG 2.0.1 fresh into Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit last night from the Launchpad PPA. I noticed that sometimes when I try to open the Preferences, it doesn't seem to do anything. When I try a second time, usually it opens, but occasionally the open CQRLOG windows fade grey -- Unity's way of telling me they've met an untimely end. I've been running the program with --debug=1 in the terminal and nothing appears when this happens. In fact, the debugging logging just stops.
The times it's happened so far I've been in remote mode with wsjtx and had the packet cluster window open. But, since I've installed the program, that's been the state 90% of the time. I'll continue to play with it in various states to see if I can determine what has to be or cannot be open to cause it to fail.
Another, possibly related item is a checkmark next to the Preferences item on the File menu. I've noticed sometimes after I access Preferences, then close it, that checkmark is there. Most of the time it doesn't seem to do anything. It seemed strange to me, as if the program thought at some level the Preferences window was open when it was not.

Many times after closing the Preferences window, when I return to the File menu to open it again, I notice a checkmark by it. This by itself doesn't appear to cause any misbehavior. I thought I'd mention it since I am trying to diagnose a Preferences-related issue. Screenshot attached.
