I'm not sure if this belongs here or on the open discussion list .... can CQRLOG be made to work with the ExpertSDR software TCI?
How else can CQRLOG be made to work with the expert software if not by TCI?

HI John!
If you SDR program supports Hamlib (or hamlib supports your SDR) then you can use it with cqrlog.
Have you read these:
https://www.cqrlog.com/node/2452
https://www.cqrlog.com/node/2469
I do not have any experience of SDR radios and their softwares. But the main thing is that if Hamlib (rigctld) can read/set mode and frequency of SDR program then cqrlog will work.

ExpertSDR software can emulate TS-480 and be connected with CAT from various software. I have a working setup with cqrlog on this using latest Ubuntu.
You may look at postings at the Expert Electronics Forum for further instructions, e.g. https://eesdr.com/en/forum-en/software-ss2/8183-linux-ubuntu-vac#15691
