Hi group,
I recently completed a system upgrade on my desktop PC and I discovered that the program's menus and dialogs now have a tiny (and barely readable for me) font. By using the Preferences / Fonts dialog I've been able to fix some of the font sizes but some others are not affected by those settings (program dialogs, labels and menu items).
So far the rest of the installed software seems to be working as usual and I haven't encountered any font issues.
My system is as follows:
- Linux Slackware 15.0
- Kernel Version: 5.15.19 (64-bit)
- KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5
- KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0
- Qt Version: 5.15.3
- Graphics Platform: X11
- Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030/PCIe/SSE2
- NVIDIA proprietary driver 470.63.01
- CQRLOG 2.5.2
- Lazarus 2.0.12
Is there any way to fix this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards!
Gustavo - LU7WA
HI Gustavo!
It seems that your new setup has very high resolution monitor and your graphics card is, of course, selecting the highest possible resolution for you.
WIth HIDPI monitors you should try display scaling to get whole program to show up larger.
As a low resolution user (1440x900) I can not give any hint how to do that, but use Google and words like: slackware kde hidpi display scaling and maybe you find instructions how to do that.
Perhaps here some other HiDPI user can help you.
