Installing CQRlog

HI
I am definitely confused with installation after ubuntu 24 upgrade.
I have replaced mysquel with MariadB. Seems ok, but I am not sure how to test it.
I have installed CQRlog 2.5.2 and it runs. But it tells me: Error during connection to database: TMySQL57Connection : Server connect failed.
I have read messages about that, but I am still confused.
Can you assist?
Thank you

I think thar mariadb works properly:

alain@Grobuntu:~/Bureau$ sudo systemctl start mariadb
alain@Grobuntu:~/Bureau$ sudo systemctl enable mariadb
Synchronizing state of mariadb.service with SysV service script with /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install.
Executing: /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install enable mariadb
alain@Grobuntu:~/Bureau$ mariadb --version
mariadb Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.11.13-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using EditLine wrapper
alain@Grobuntu:~/Bureau$ sudo mariadb
