Migrating CQRLOG to new computer

I have been running CQRLOG 1.5.2 under Linux Mint 16 and am basically happy with it, but there are features (such as upload to QRZ.com) for which I would like to upgrade. I have just installed Ubuntu 14.04 on a second machine and am about to install CQRLOG and so I have to choose a nice stable version! What advice can anyone offer? And also, how should I migrate my data? Should I install CQRLOG 1.5.2 on the new machine, migrate my data across and then upgrade CQRLOG?
I would love to take advantage from all your experiences!

Auto upload log to QRZ logbook?

I have been having a lot of people asking me to confirm contacts via the QRZ logbook. I personally don't have much interest in the logbook on QRZ as I use LoTW or eQSL to confirm contacts. But as a courtesy, is it possible to have CQRLog automatically upload my contacts to QRZ?

Thanks in advance,

cqrlog expects mysql 5.5

Peter,

I have a fresh load of linux mint 17.  I can not find mysql 5.5 on the mysql website...the only versions avail for unbuntu are 5.6 or 5.7dmr.   It seems that cqrlog expects to see 5.5 and errors when it trys to connect with the following error:

'Error during connection to database: TMySQL55Connection can not work with the installed MySQL client version: Expected (5.5), got (5.6.20).'

Any help would be apprecitated.

WHAT IS DATABASE FILE FOR CQRLOG?

FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS MONTH, MY COMPUTER LOCKED UP AND I HAD TO KILL POWER TO RESTART..  NOW CQRLOG DOES NOT LOAD.  IT CAN NOT FIND THE SERVER.  NEVER HAD A SERVER BUT SOME FILE IS NEEDS TO BE REPLACED TO ALLOW IT TO LOAD.  IS THERE ANY IDEA OF WHAT FILE IS CORRUPTED THAT PREVENTS CQRLOG FROM LOADING?

IT WOULD BE EASY TO BACKUP THE DATABASE FILE OR FILES IF I KNEW WHAT THEY WERE.

IT IS A MAJOR PAIN TO GO THE COMPLETE INSTALL WITH ALL THE SETTINGS.  PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!

HamQTH lookup not working in V 1.8 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Just installed a clean Ubuntu 14.04. 3 G processor and 2.8 G memory. OS seems to run ok. Installed CQRLog 1.8 from ok2cqr repository. Created datafile. Set preferences for HamQTH. Even reset password. The address info does not appear in the box at the lower right of the QSO entry screen. If I connect to HamQTH, using the little tab, the callsign data appears on HamQTH but not in the box. I have a valid connection to the internet and can access variuos sites with no problems.
I have version 1.7+ installed on another PC running Ubuntu 12.04 and the call lookup works.

Can I turn off "COMMENT field exported to eQSL"?

Hello,

Can this feature be turned off (in the config file maybe)?  I use that field for contests and I don't want that field to be pushed to eQSL. It doesn't have to be a gui fix, I'm fine with editing the config file to change it if it's there.

Thank you,

The more I use CQRLog, the more I am impressed

I have used Linux on and off for a few years and have recently come back after Ubuntu 14.04 LTS was released. After using Ham Radio Delux on Windows, then moving back to CQRLog on Ubuntu I have come to the realization that quality software doesn't need to cost $100 per year.
Thank you to the authors for making this available to the amateur radio community. Your hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated.
