Preferences for activated remote modes

Hi,
every time starting CQRLOG I've to activate remote mode for WSTJ-X manually. It would be pretty cool to set these modes active (fldigi, wsjt or ADIF) in the preferences window, so it's already activated when starting CQRLOG.

BTW: I'm using 2.6.0.
Thanks for great program by the way!

Cheers

Hi Cornel!

As you are using 2.6.0 I see that you have not read Help!

Help/Quick start/Start Cqrlog

From there you can see how to start Cqrlog with remote mode active.

Thanks Saku for your reply.

Thanks Saku for your reply.
Sorry for not sneaking a peak in the online help...

Actually my starting options in Linux are cqrlog -r J but nothing happens after CQRLOG starts. So there seems to be a difference with adding parameter -r J in the menu entry of CQRLOG.

So just tried to start cqrlog from terminal and it works, but takes at least 10 seconds or more to activate itself.

I know, the preferences menu is full of options and it's hard to store more and more preferences there, but i think, these essential functions should be implemented in the menu at all.

Preferences for activated remote modes

Hi Cornel!

If you start cqrlog from console as:
cqrlog -r J
(or edit your startup icon settings so that "-r J" is added there)

Cqrlog starts wsjt-x (or jtdx) if you have set "Preferences/fldigi/wsjt interfece/Path to wsjtx" properly.

Normally this is /usr/bin/wsjtx but to be sure open command console and give:
whereis -b wsjtx

Copy that path to Preferences/fldigi/wsjt interfece/Path to wsjtx. After that check checkbox "run wsjtx after entering to Remote mode for wsjt-x"
Close preferences and press Ctrl+J to see that wsjt-x starts when entering to remote mode.
If that works, it works also with start parameter "-r J"

Using "-r J" startup parameter adds a delay to activate remote mode because Cqrlog itself must be completely running before entering to remote mode. As there may be several threads starting, depending on how many windows open at startup, and that all takes some time that is depended on PC's speed that we can not know, the delay is set "Long enough".
If you have fast PC it may feel long time. But it will start, be patient.

With my laptop it takes 18sec after NewQSO window appeared to have wsjtx running.
