New key for DX-cluster spotting (last QSO from log)

Hello,

is it possible to change the hot-key for spotting? perhaps [ALT]+[STRG]+[s] or anything?
I think, the tilde isn't the best choice.

Many thanks for cqrlog, and 73's Chris

Why is the ~ not suitable? I have never wanted to use that character in logging and can't see that I ever would but would be interested to hear your reason.

I'm using a german keyboard

I'm using a german keyboard because i'm a german.
The tilde works not with STRG-GR (CTRL-GR?) and +/* key. This key is the same as tilde(~).

That's the problem.

Oder kennt sich ein Deutscher mit dem Problem aus? Jemand da, der weiß wie es geht?
Bei mir geht nichts mit DC-Cluster spotten.

Re: I'm using a german keyboard

I just added CTRL+W hotkey to send spot to dx cluster. It will be part of new version.

Actually, it's not ~ key. The button on keyboard do that with Shift. It's ` key. I don't know the description of it in English.

Danke Chris, jetzt verstehe

Danke Chris, jetzt verstehe ich, was dein problem ist.

Petr, the key is known as `accent` in English although I think it originally came from Italian and is used to alter the důraz on a letter.

Hot Key for DX cluster

I consider multitouch shortcuts (Shift-Ctrl-something, Alt-something) as undesirable. Every keyboard has >100 keys, you need some 40 of them for QSO data input. So why we need such artistic performances with double- or even triple-touch shortcuts? Can someone tell me any acceptable reason for use a keyboard layout other than US-international?
