I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and CQRLOG. DEB package will not install because of following error: ERROR dependency is not satisfiable: LIBGDK-PIXBUF2.0.0 ( >= 2.22.0).
I have not been able to find this file to update. Can I use CQRLOG 1.5.4-1 with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS or will I have to upgrade to a newer OS?
Thanks,
Dan - W3DF

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Dependency Not Satisfiable
Hi Dan,
I'm sorry. When I created deb packages of 1.5.3 and 1.5.4 releases, I used pbuilder-dist with Debian unstable as the system. Please try binary files comressed in tar.gz or if you could wait for a few days, I'll try to build debpackages in Vmware Player with Ubuntu 10.04. Today I'm already in bed with notebook and Kubuntu 12.04. My desktop machine is already turned off. So tomorrow or on the weekend I can build the packages in 10.04 and post it here.
I'm sorry for inconvenience.

Hello Dan,
what architecture are you using? I compiled cqrlog for 10.04 64bit but can't force it to complile in 32bit. Lazarus is broken. If you are using amd64. I can post the deb here.

Petr,
I am using the 32 bit I386 deb package version.
I have an old 2.1 GHz single core Dell Inspiron laptop (7+ years old) with 1 GB memory. I am afraid Ubuntu 12.04 LTS will not run well on this computer so I stayed with 10.04 LTS.
Also, I have a 2.5 GHz single core processor desktop computer (Dell Dimension 4600) with 2 GB memory and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS installed. The latest CQRLOG installs and runs OK on this desktop computer. Could I try taking the LIBGDK-PIXBUF (>= 2.22.0) off of the deskop computer (with 12.04 LTS installed) and install it on the laptop with 10.04 installed? Would this work? Or do you think 12.04 LTS will run OK on the old laptop?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Dan,
version 12.04 should work, but I supposet you'll need more RAM for it. Could you try to untar the files from http://www.cqrlog.com/files/cqrlog_1.5.4/cqrlog_1.5.4_i386.tar.gz to your ome directory, please? Then go to user/bin and try to run CQRLOG. If it will work, you can install it and ignore the dependencies.
I'll try to figure out how to compile cqrlog also in Ubuntu 10.04 32bit and today let you know.

Hi Petr,
Thank you very much for the 10.04 version. I also run 10.04 as my main OS. It is installed on an SSD.
On a regular harddrive I have newer Linux distibutions like Mint 14. I like to check them out but for the time being my main OS will be the Ubuntu 10.04 version.

Petr,
I downloaded the new DEB file for 10.04 LTS and it installs and works OK.
Thank you very much for supporting the older OS.
