On Downloads:Recent version I see this:
For those who does not use Ubuntu, there are Debian packages:
cqrlog_1.6.1-1_i386.debcqrlog_1.6.1-1_amd64.deb
This tells me the above links are not for Ubuntu users. I'm a wannabe Ubuntu user. Did not see a link for a download for Ubuntu users. Knowing almost nothing about Linux/Ubuntu and nothing at all about CQRlog other than what's on the site and some rave reviews, how do I proceed?
Be gentle. Again, I'm a double newbie here looking at possibly moving off Windows.

Where to download?
from the terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: ok2cqr/ppa
then:
sudo apt-get update
then:
sudo apt-get install cqrlog
then look cqrlog in Applications menu
Thanks! After poking around a bit now I know what "terminal" and 'sudo' mean! However system response is:
art@art-Precision-M6300:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa: ok2cqr/ppa[sudo] password for art: Sorry, try again.[sudo] password for art: Error: need a single repository as argumentart@art-Precision-M6300:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa: ok2cqr/ppaError: need a single repository as argument
As can be seen, I tried twice...Is there an error in the text below?sudo add-apt-repository ppa: ok2cqr/ppa

when requesting password for sudo, enter your login password.
Thanks to help from https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA/InstallingSoftware now I know what a PPA is and how to install it. There was an extra spacebar in my orig try.
I need a book something like "Ubuntu for Dummies"!
