Set home QTH on Xplanet

Hi,
I am trying to set Xplanet so my QTH is in the centre, I cant seem to do this. I have my Locator grid set and the grayline map shows this correct but Xplanet duses the default of Lat 0 Lon 0.
Any ideas??

Re: Set home QTH on Xplanet

Hi Bob,

I just tried it and it worked. Open a termianl window and run cqrlog with --debug=1 parameter. After you open xplanet window, you'll see the command line parameters. Please paste here what it writes into it. Thank you!

Re: debug output

Hi Bob,

this is not related to marker file. It will be create when first spot will be saved into it. What I wanted to see was the command line arguments relate to xplanet itself. There are also coordinates to your home QTH.

Hi,
I have checked the path and the "markers" file does not exist here, just one called geoconfig

Re: Xplanet comand line

Thank you for the output!

There are no -lattitude and -longiture parametes. Are you sure your own grid square is correct? Please look to Preferences -> Station.

Xplanet

Hi,
I have checked my locator and it is correct, IO90CR49.
The greyline map shows it correctly as a line to the station I'm working, and the distance to stations function all work.
Very strange?
I can live with it I just wondered why it wasnt working. I have one suggestion for the Xplanet support in the program.
Would it be possible to have an "auto zoom" option where the map zoomed to scale itself to the furthest station visible in the dx spots you are looking at, or youcould pre-set to a continent or region you are interested in working and be able to see spots there in greater detail rather than the entire Earth view??

Re:Xplanet

Hi Bob,

CQRLOG supports only 6 characters long grid square. Please enter only IO90CR to preferences and it will work.
