After upgrading from 12.04 LTS to 14.04 LTS CQRLOG works very well. No errors. You can update the system without worry.

I did same thing. In fact, I did a clean install of 14.04. CQRLog runs well but I no longer have access to the Rig. Ideas? I see rigctld running in System Monitor. I have tried buy ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1 with no luck. I get rig control under Win7.
I also updated. Running great.
Remember to add youself to the dialout group for ttyUSB access. And make udev rules to ensure the radio gets the same device address as before.

I also upgraded Ubuntu and was offered an update to version 1.4.7-1-Trusty. It all works well except for the Statistics/DXCC where the totals are no longer displayed and a small panel for each of Phone, CW, Digi etc. are displayed with no data. Otherwise all seems well.
