CQRLOG v 0.9.0 Column positions and widths

Just upgraded to version 0.9.0, and once again all columns now have widths which make no sense. Adjusting the widths does not work as they reset on the very next program launch. Also moving the columns to make more sense does not work as these also reset on very next program launch. I am sure I read that these bugs had been resolved but perhaps not. Is there a way of locking the column widths and positions ??

Re: CQRLOG v 0.9.0 Column positions and widths

Hi Wallace,

I'm sorry but I supposed that it was fixed. It works as expected only if you don't move columns. Only settings width works. It is a bug in a component in Lazarus. I must find how to get over it.

Re: CQRLOG v 0.9.0 Column positions and widths

Hello Petr,

In QSO List View......
Leaving the columns position in default gives a really strange layout
Date - Time on - Time off - Mode - RST S - RST R - Freq - QTH - QSL R - Name - QSL S - Callsign - Pwr - Loc - Remarks.
The default widths are really odd with a massive field for QSL-R where a small one is needed, and the Name field and Mode fields are also very large.
I'ts a shame really because it is a fine piece of software in many respects.
Perhaps it is a common problem as prior to using Ubuntu and CQRLog, I used Ham Radio Deluxe under Windows XP and it also has an as yet unresolved problem remembering column widths between sessions.

Kind regards

Re: CQRLOG v 0.9.0 Column positions and widths

Hello Wallace,

finally, I did it. It took a few hours of experimenting and trying to get it to work. I believe, I found the way how to do it despite of errors in Lazarus. In 0.9.1 it will be all fixed.
Thank you for patience.

Re: CQRLOG v 0.9.0 Column positions and widths

Hi Petr,

Do you know yet when 0.9.1 might be released? This column width/position issue is about the only thing stopping me from adopting CQRLOG as my full time Linux logging program.

73 & thanks for your work!

Petr, First off all may I

Petr,

First off all may I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Secondly, thank you for the work done on version 0.9.1.
The columns are now behaving perfectly, and staying in position and with the widths fixed.
It looks great.

The following is not a bug or even a moan, but just an observation.
In the QSO LIST View......
The times in TIME ON column are centered, but in the TIME OFF column are referenced to left hand edge.
Perhaps TIME OFF should also be centered.
