When I start WSJT-X remote I get a red box telling me it is offline. I am new to Linux and CQRLOG so I don't know what this is telling me. Should I uncheck the box or let it stay red? Thanks for any help or advice.

That is, what should be. It

That is, what should be. It indicates, that your log
is in remote mode. Just let it be.

Thanks for the advice. I am new to Linux and CQRLOG. After leaving windows and Mac computers I find Linux is working out real good for me. Just a big learning curve for an old man, (82) but still willing to learn. Thanks again.

Hi Jim!
The magic key is "willing to learn". That makes almost everything possible and age is not counted then.

QRZ

Hi Saku

Could you tell me if there is any plans to add QRZ to the upload QSO's? All the others that I upload to are on the list. I may have overlooked the QRZ part. Thanks again for all the help and advice.

QRZ

Sorry Jim !

I cannot tell you any information about future plans.

I'm kind of "Lonely Wolf" who has just done some additions important to myself and what I'm also willing to share with others and Petr has been very kind and took them as part of official release. So I'm not member of any "cqrlog developer team", if there even is any.

There are 3 different logging connections of which none are used by me. I just use LoTW and eQSL.

I'm sure that if someone writes plugin for QRZ and offers it as a pull request it will be accepted, but I do not have any idea what are Petr's own plans with cqrlog.

Log

Hello All,

First of all I am sorry for all the questions. When I am working WSJT-X and I have a contact it gets puts the call in the call box and QRZ looks up the call and list it in the Callbook box but some times when it puts the call in the QSO log the name and QTH is not added. I know I have overlooked something so I need a little help.

Log

HI Jim!
No problem. Just ask. Your questions and replies of them might help someone else too.

Qrz lookup does not give so much information as hamqth.com usually gives.
So make logon account for hamqth.com and change it in preferences/Callbook support.
Try that to see if it gives better response than qrz.com.

When you log wsj-x qso DO NOT press "save QSO" in NewQSo form.
Either press "Log" in wsjt-x main screen or change wsjtx settings so that it opens it's log form when you send "73".
Fill power and remarks to that form and when done, press ok.
It will log qso to cqrlog and take also information shown in cqrlog's NewQSO form with it.

You can manually change/add things to NewQSO form, they are logged too as long as you do logging via wsjt-x log form's "OK"-button.

This can be found also from http://www.saunalahti.fi/sakny/bin/cqrlog2/CqrlogAdditions2.pdf page 10
